Hit and Run laws in Pennsylvania
I was recently involved in a minor collision when a car had entered my lane. We both pulled over to inspect our vehicles and found there was no major damage, only a few scrapes.
We didn’t exchange information because I didn’t notice the damage done to my rim until I had further inspected.
The driver who hit me drove off, but I had copied their license plate.
I didn’t know how I would go about seeking compensation for the damages so, I went into a police station and filed a hit and run report. Should I write a statement saying that I had lied? What are the hit and run laws in Pennsylvania in relations to this circumstance?
