Ask a Question
Are a grandparent’s visitation rights guaranteed?
My fiancé is recently divorce with a daughter that she has sole custody of. The father’s parents are still active in her daughter’s life and visit her at least once a month with my fiancé’s permission. The issue is, during their last visit, her daughter got very sick after the grandparents disobeyed a direct request from my fiancé. This erupted into a huge argument. They have threatened to file for visitation rights. Are a grandparent’s visitation rights guaranteed, even if the paternal guardian opposes it?
